Popular stimulant and remedy for whooping cough and asthma
Botanical Name: Cola vera
Kola Nuts (cola vera) contain caffeine and are a stimulant like coffee, tea, yerba mate and guarana. Kola Nuts enhance alertness and physical energy, elevate the mood and suppress appetite. Unlike other stimulants, Kola Nut is reported to be not addictive.
Kola Nuts are widely used in the treatment of whooping cough and asthma, as the caffeine acts as a bronchodilator, expanding the bronchial air passages.
