Hops are a flower used primarily as a flavouring and stability agent in beer. Hops also has medicinal properties, due to the active ingredients humulene and lupuline. Dried Hops flowers have a mild sedative effect on the central nervous system, and are used to help treat insomnia, stress and anxiety. Many herbal preparations for insomnia combine hops with more potent calming herbs, such as valerian.

Add 1-2 teaspoons to a pot of water and brew for 20mins. Strain, pour and add sweetener if needed.
